4½ Stunden auf der Autobahn,
nur um einmal wieder in den Norden ‘rauf zu fahr’n.
Unsere Band spielt dort auf ‘nem Hochzeitsfest:
Das heißt dann: Ankomm’, Aufbaun’, Jazzen, Rocken und der ganze Rest.

Manche Leute sagen ja: “Es macht euch doch Spaß!”
Darauf wir: “Ja ja,” doch es ist nicht nur das:
Wir hätten gern mehr Anerkennung in Form von eurem Geld,
damit zu Hause sich der Kühlschrank füllt.

Zwei Songs gespielt und dann kommen sie schon:
Unsere lieben Ordnungshüter, mit ‘nem echt schrägen Ton:
“Kennt ihr Straßen-Mucker denn die Regeln dieser Stadt?”
“Ja, wir kennen sie, und wir haben sie satt!”

Viertel nach 12 und der Soundcheck ist gemacht,
spielen tun wir allerdings erst so gegen acht,
also sitzen wir jetzt hier im Backstage dumm herum,
bei Käseknifte und selbstgebranntem Rum.
